LITTLE ROCK – On Monday, Andrew Cade Eberly, an Army veteran and technology security professional, filed paperwork with the Arkansas Secretary of State for State House, District 67. The district, which was decided by 510 votes in 2022, is the most competitive in Central Arkansas. Democratic leaders have targeted it as a key pick-up opportunity.

“I’m running for State House to take my public service from the Army to the legislature,” said Andrew Cade Eberly, who enlisted in the United States Army in 2017 and spent one year in South Korea and another four years in the Joint Special Operations Command. “Hard-working Arkansans suffer and struggle day-in and day-out as the richest among us continue to coast and receive tax-giveaways from our state government. It’s simply outrageous and immoral. Wages aren’t increasing, but the cost of groceries, our monthly rent, and our bills in Central Arkansas won’t stop skyrocketing.”

Eberly, who held security clearances from the Department of Defense, plans to focus his campaign on increasing government transparency, routing out corruption at the State Capitol, protecting public education, and delivering true economic relief for working families.

“Representative Karliyn Brown has served four terms in the State House and continues to fail to deliver for our families in Jacksonville and Sherwood,” said Eberly. “Her record is actively lowering the quality of life for our families, by defunding our public schools, rewriting our public records laws, and favoring tax breaks corporations over relief for workers

“If you elect me to serve you, there won’t be a day at the State Capitol where I’m not focused on increased financial stability and security for the folks in Jacksonville and Sherwood.”
